What happens if I forget to check in?

Don't worry — that's exactly what the grace period is for. You can configure it to give yourself several days of buffer before anything triggers. You'll also receive multiple reminders via email and SMS before it comes to that. Only after the full grace period passes without any response will your messages be delivered.

What if something temporary happens — a trip or a hospitalization?

LastReach is designed with exactly this in mind. Your configurable grace period acts as a buffer — set it to 7 days and you'd need to miss several consecutive check-ins before anything triggers. You can also pause your Proof of Life from the dashboard at any time and re-enable it when you're back. A short, temporary lapse will never accidentally send your messages.

What if my subscription lapses or my credit card gets cancelled?

Your messages are protected no matter what happens to your subscription. If you become unresponsive while a paid subscriber, we will deliver your tasks even if your payment subsequently fails or your subscription lapses. This is our Honor Commitment — the promise we make to every user. The whole point of LastReach is that your messages reach the people who matter, and we won't let a billing technicality stand in the way of that.

How secure are my messages?

Your messages are encrypted using AES-256 encryption — the same standard used by banks and governments. We store your data on SOC 2 compliant infrastructure with regular security audits. Your messages are only decrypted at the moment of delivery to your designated recipients.

Can I test the system before relying on it?

Absolutely. Every plan includes a Test Send feature that lets you see exactly what your recipients will receive. You can test as many times as you want to make sure everything is worded perfectly before you rely on it.

Can I change my check-in frequency?

Yes, at any time. Choose from daily, weekly, or monthly schedules — or create a fully custom interval. Max plan users can even set a different schedule for each individual task. You can also pause your Proof of Life entirely while travelling and re-enable it when you're back.

Do you offer refunds?

Yes. All paid plans include a 7-day free trial. If you're not satisfied within the first 30 days of a paid subscription, we'll provide a full refund — no questions asked.

Is LastReach a substitute for a will or legal document?

No — and we want to be upfront about that. LastReach is a personal messaging platform, not a legally binding document. It cannot transfer assets, execute financial decisions, or replace a formal Will, Trust, or Power of Attorney. We strongly recommend using LastReach alongside proper legal estate planning. Think of it this way: LastReach ensures your personal voice is heard, while your lawyer ensures your legal wishes are honored.

Who is LastReach for?

LastReach is for anyone who wants to make sure important information reaches the right people if something happens to them. Common users include travelers, people with health conditions, business owners, parents planning for emergencies, and anyone doing digital legacy planning.

How many recipients can I add to a task?

Each task supports up to 10 email recipients and additional SMS recipients (Pro and Max plans). You can create multiple tasks with different recipient groups to reach everyone who needs to know.

What types of files can I attach?

You can attach documents, photos, PDFs, and other common file types. All files are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before storage and only decrypted at the moment of delivery. Storage limits depend on your plan: 10MB (Free), 100MB (Pro), or 1GB (Max).

Is LastReach available in other languages?

Yes! LastReach is fully available in English and Spanish. The entire platform — dashboard, emails, SMS messages, and support — works in both languages. You can switch languages anytime.
